The lost wax method is to use wax to copy the object to be cast, and then immerse it in a pool containing sand (powder), so that the surface of the object is covered with a layer of sand outer film, wait for the surface to dry, and then repeat the steps many times, so that the outer surface is covered with sand. Silica sol precision casting has good adhesion and filling performance, high shell strength and gloss, surface roughness can be reduced to Ra3.2-6.3, high temperature resistance, resistance to deformation. Silica sol is very suitable for the casting of small castings, the surface will be very fine, the roughness will be low, and the tolerance size will be well controlled. The resulting castings do not require reprocessing or require only a small amount of machining. At the same time, the maintenance workload of silica sol castings during storage is small, which greatly shortens the delivery cycle.
